Dr. Katrina Polk

CEO & Founder

Dr. Katt establishes supportive service networks worldwide. These networks improve access to service supports that help manage aging with independence and aging in community efforts. She has more than thirty (30) years of experience in health services and community living for older adults (55+). More precisely, her work has been demonstrated in private residences, assisting living facilities, community residential facilities, home health agencies, nonprofit organizations, senior housing communities, and adult day health facilities. 

 

Dr. Katt has served at the senior management level within various nonprofit organizations and government agencies. She has worked and collaborated with DC Office on Aging, Unity Healthcare, Community Preservation Development Corporation, Seabury Resources for Aging, Emmaus Services for the Aging, DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, and Arlington County’s Aging and Disability Division.

 

Dr. Katt earned a Ph.D. at Walden University. Her focus is Public Policy & Administration with a specialization in Aging Health Services. She holds a Master of Public Administration with a core concentration in Nonprofit Management from Southeastern University. Dr. Katt also has completed academic projects in Public Performance Measurements at Rutgers University's School of Public Affairs and Administration.

TeAnna Abraham

Chief Operating Officer

TeAnna Abraham comes to Dynamic Solutions for the Aging with a burning passion to preserve and maintain the dignity and respect of America’s most treasured asset.  Our Seniors! With a wealth of knowledge related to senior supportive services and social engagement for the aging population, her services help to combat isolation, encourage community connectivity, and provide access to affordable health options, encompassing not only physical but emotional and spiritual health as well. 

 

With over 20 years of hands on working experience, TeAnna has help to create and implement innovative and cutting edge programming in the sector with various organizations including Iona Seniors Services, Terrific Inc., Seabury Resources for the Aging, Manor Care, Emmaus Senior Services and many more. TeAnna began her work within Marriott Senior Living Properties where she was promoted from front line staff to a Director within 9 months. Now with a heart that beats for serving all aging persons, she has given her knowledge and support to the LGBTQ elder community through various partnerships as well.

 

Gaining support and encouragement from the elders in her personal life she attended Howard University and holds a degree in Therapeutic Recreation.

Karen O. Cobble, LSWA

Vice President for Supportive Service & Outreach

Karen is social worker who has a thirty (30) year career as a social worker in the field of gerontology/geriatrics. Some of her professional experiences include the positions of Community Planner & Chief Case Manager for Greater Washington Urban League—Division of Health and Aging Services and Outreach Paralegal for AARP’s Legal Council for the Elderly; as well as other various positions focused on older adult projects, assignments, and volunteer opportunities.

 

In 2005, Karen was appointed to her current role, Project Director for the Ward 8 Lead Agency for Aging Services, by E. Veronica Pace, the former Executive Director of the DC Office on Aging, and the former Director of Greater Washington Urban League’s Aging Services, Brenda L. Turner. In this capacity, she was responsible for ensuring Ward 8 older residents (or person 60 years +) with services and supports that will enhance their quality of life and sustain them in their homes and communities.  Karen supervised a staff of 15; overseen 5 Nutrition Centers, and a specialized Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Seniors; and, managed services and supports inclusive of Limited Long-term Care Options, Nutrition, Health Prevention and Promotion, Congregate Meals, Home Delivered Meals, Case Management, and Short-term Counseling. She served in this position until 2015.

 

Karen holds a BA in Social Welfare from the University of the District of Columbia and is licensed by the Board of Social Work as LSWA.

 

Karen attributes her success to the creator, who ordered the steps and paved the way for the mission.
